Fans of the Neptunia series and newcomers can enjoy the lush worlds of Gamindustri with the help of the PS5 and new gameplay additions, including a fishing mini-game! I'd struggle to recommend it if you've already played the vita version, but if you haven't it's a nice entry to the series.The Goddesses are back and better than ever on the PlayStation 5! Neptunia ReVerse is an updated and enhanced version of the beloved RPG game Hyperdimension Neptunia Re Birth 1, originally released for the PlayStation Vita. Oh, spite their reputation as a bit fanservicey, the games are pretty tame, EXCEPT, in the opening hour or so of each entry, which will typically have a (non explicit) nude scene of some sort, if that sort of thing bothers you, be reassured that its.pretty much just that first one, and the rest of the game is far less nsfw.īut uh.tldr, REverse is a remaster of HDN1, and its a bit basic on gameplay, but charmingly written, if you like that kind of goofy anime tone. Oh and in the case of reverse, the 'arrange' mode, unlocks all playable party members by default, including a TON (20+ from later games, so if you play on that mode don't be surprised when most party members don't interact, as they aren't actually meant to be there, and also know that the identities of a few members are spoilers for later games so, play at your own risk, or better yet, just play normal mode.

Reverse wasn't meant to be a series, so its a standalone story, with 2,3 and megadimension being the current main storyline of the series, and everything else being spinoffs. If you do like it, grab megadimension on ps4/steam, its the 4th neptunia game and also quite charming (i'd argue vii is better than its enhanced remaster vii-r though) as well as rebirth 2 and 3 on vita/steam Gameplay is nothing to write home about, but I found the visual novel style cutscenes charming enough to become a fan of the series, at least the 5-ish entries that are jrpgs. Somewhat like disgaea or atelier in tone and budget. Reverse is, as such, a bit dated, but I've always been quite fond of it, its a fairly goofy lighthearted rpg about 4 warring nations representing the ps3, 360, wii, and a made up/never released sega console (the sega neptune) that plays on fanboy nonsense and gamer culture in general through a moe anime lens.

The reason it's largely been ignored, is its a remaster of HDN RE:Birth 1 for the vita, which was, itself, a full remake of the original HDN1 on ps3 (which was a TERRIBLE game) Rebirth was excellent, but its a game we all played rather recently, and don't really want to rebuy.
