Our goal was to put a limited edition of The Secret of the Old Clock on the shelves with a beautiful cover design that captures the essence of who Nancy Drew is. So instead we focused our attention on changing the look of the book. We knew from the beginning that there was no way for us to change the content of the book, except perhaps to add an additional page of material-but that alone wouldn’t be enough. There’s always a lot of excitement in-house about Nancy Drew-everyone loves the series, and feels proud that we are the house that publishes the original series-so we knew that whatever we did to celebrate this anniversary, it would have to be really special.
